A post-doctoral entrepreneurship town was unveiled in Beijing’s Daxing district on Oct 18. More than 30 start-ups focusing on new generations of information technology and life and health industries have settled in the district.

The new platform is expected to offer multiple services to support innovation and entrepreneurship in the areas of recruitment, investment attraction, enterprise management, property management, scientific achievement transformation, and cooperation and exchanges.

Meanwhile, innovative enterprises, think tanks, regional economic research institutes and post-doctoral scientific research workstations will be introduced to empower the platform.

“To gather high-level talents, the great thing is to retain them,” said Wang Tao, head of the town.

In this context, a series of preferential measures targeting tax, post-doctoral incentives, housing, and children’s enrollment have been prepared to attract post-doctoral researchers to settle in and transform their scientific results to the market.
