The biological medicine industry base in Beijing’s Daxing district is becoming a good destination for leisure and recreation.

One of its attractions, the Beijing Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine, embodies the royal TCM culture in the aspects of "history tracing", "crafts inheritance", "Beijing collections" and "Chinese medicine illustration".

It offers an immersive experience venue through touch sand tables, phantom imaging, mobile slides, VR technology, scene restorations and other modes. Visitors are able to enjoy an audio-visual feast for research, teaching, science popularization and sightseeing.

Another place to check out at the base, the Bee Kingdom Ecological Pavilion, Asia’s largest bee culture venue, is home to more than 300 pictures, over 100 specimens, and giant bionic models of bees and hives that demonstrate bees’ body structure, thehistory of breeding and the magical process of honey making.

Tourists can feel the wonder of the world of bees by buying some handmade bee soap, distinguishing real and fake honey and listening to the story of a queen bee’s birth.

Tongrentang Group, a 351-year-old TCM pharmacy, opened a new concept retail store called Zhima Health Experience at the base that provides diversified shopping and leisure scenarios for online and offline consumption.

Unlike traditional outlets, the store offers personalized and precise health services. In the health therapy and care area, a one-stop service from detection to issuance of health solutions can be provided for consumers.

To meet customers’daily needs, it prepares herbal coffee, tea, baked products and soup, and sells organic food and health products in its supermarket area.
