China Southern Airlines held a news briefing on June 11 in Beijing. Hu Haiqing, deputy general manager of the China Southern Airlines Operational Command Center, said that the company would undertake 40 percent of the passenger traffic at the Daxing airport (excluding its sub-companies Sichuan Airlines and Hebei Airlines).

China Southern Airlines is expected to become the dominant base airline with the largest share of resources, the broadest flight network and the largest number of passenger carriers at the airport.

China Eastern Airlines Group and other airlines will share the remaining 60 percent of passenger traffic.
