Founded in 1958, Beijing Daxing District Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine grew out of Beijing Nanjiao Hongxing Hospital. It became a comprehensive Grade-II public medical institution directly under the Health and Family Planning Commission of the district and was renamed Beijing Daxing District Hongxing Hospital in 2003.

The hospital was approved by the municipal authorities and district to be upgraded to a Grade-III hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine and to use its current name in August and October 2016.

Located in northeastern Daxing, the hospital borders the Yizhuang New Town and is in the town's supporting area. Covering an area of 18 mu (12,000 square meters), it has a floorage of 27,000 sq m.

There are a total of 715 employees, including 605 medical workers. It has 124 employees with master's degree or above and 307 with a bachelor degree. There are 44 employees with senior professional titles, 153 with intermediate professional titles, 232 registered nurses and 231 registered doctors.

According to the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) of the district's Health and Family Planning Commission, the hospital will be built into a regional TCM and rehabilitation center; by the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period, it will grow into a Grade-III hospital specializing in orthopaedics and traumatology, rehabilitation medicine, cardiovascular medicine, neurology, endocrinology, orthopaedics, general surgery, gynecology and obstetrics.

The hospital has 450 beds and is home to dozens of departments, namely, Emergency Department, Ambulance service 120, Critical Care Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedics and Traumatology, General Surgery (Extracerebral, Urinary), Orthopedics, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Stomatology, Comprehensive Outpatient Clinic, Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Otolaryngology, Dermatology, Preventive Health, Infectious Diseases, Physical Examination (Preventive treatment of diseases), Anesthesiology, Radiology, Ultrasound, Laboratory Pharmaceutical Department, Nutrition Department, Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber, Hemodialysis Department, and Blood Bank.

It is equipped with many large medical facilities, such as 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging, 20-slice spiral CT, DR, digital molybdenum targets for gastrointestinal tract and mammary gland, panoramic oral cavity, gastrointestinal endoscopy, high-end color Doppler ultrasound, and hyperbaric oxygen chamber.
