Daxing No 1 Middle School Beijing

Daxing No 1 Middle School Beijing, formerly known as Huangcun Central Primary School, was founded in September 1956. At the end of 1957, it was renamed Huangcun Middle School, and began to establish its own independent junior middle school system. In September 1959, it became exclusively a secondary school. In 1972, it was renamed Huangcun No 1 Middle School of Daxing County. In 1978, it was approved by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education as Daxing County's Key Middle School. In 2002, it was appraised as one of the first exemplary common senior middle schools in Beijing by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education. On September 1, 2004, Huangcun No 1 Middle School was renamed Daxing No1 Middle School.

The school owns two campuses. The East Campus that's close to the district government covers an area of 61,300 sq. m. with the gross floor area of 45,000 sq m; construction of the West Campus began in March 2017 in an area of 190,000 sq m with the gross floor area of 183,000 sq m.

Daxing No 1 Middle School Beijing, under the Daxing District Commission of Education, is an institution fully funded by the government and with corporate capacity. A public high school in Beijing, the school offers full-time junior high school and senior high school education, both with three academic years.
