Cultural volunteers in Beijing's Daxing district held a rewarding ceremony to celebrate the International Volunteer Day for Social and Economic Development on Dec 5.

Since its establishment in 2009, the Cultural Volunteer Service Center in Daxing has launched a series of brand volunteer projects including "Bring Happiness to Villages", "Hundreds of Volunteer to Hundreds of Villages", "Strategic Plans for Cultural Volunteers", along with regular cultural activities such as caring about the senior citizens and helping the disabled people.

The district is committed to playing a key role in constructing the capital as a cultural center and building a demonstration zone to offer the public high-quality cultural services.

In March 2018, Daxing District Cultural Center founded the cultural voluntary department. The volunteer team in the district was selected into the list of "The 2018 Most Beautiful Volunteer Service Team in Beijing".

In the future, the voluntary work in Daxing will follow the overall development thought of local cultural voluntary service, launch standard and world-class projects and create open platforms.
