WND celebrates International Volunteer Day

Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, also known as WND, celebrated the 2025 International Volunteer Day on Dec 2. The event, themed "Gathering Volunteer Strength for a Better Society," brought together model volunteers, community organizers, and service teams to share stories and experiences.

The event featured readings that spotlighted national role-model volunteers, a discussion with representatives from award-winning volunteer service organizations, and a showcase of projects recognized in Jiangsu's volunteer service competition. Outstanding volunteers from local communities were also honored for their contributions.

Outside the main venue, a volunteer marketplace encouraged residents to engage in hands-on service activities, cultural exchanges, and recruitment booths, offering a lively space for public involvement.

Wuxi's volunteer network continues to grow quickly. The city now has over two million registered volunteers and over 9,000 volunteer service teams, reflecting a strong civic spirit and an expanding culture of public service.
