  • On Feb 28, WND's top leaders visited Hangzhou to meet with Zentec Biotech and attend the signing ceremony for the company's new R&D and production base in Wuxi International Life-Science Innovation Campus. The base is poised to elevate the local beauty and personal care industry, fostering high-end, intelligent, and personalized development.

  • Wuxi DeepBrain Medical Technology was established in WND on March 5. Backed by WND and Peking University's Yangtze River Delta Institute for Future Technology and Life and Health, the company is pioneering cutting-edge invasive brain-computer interface technology for research and medical applications.

  • On March 5, Obuda University President Kovacs Levente visited WND to strengthen ties in project collaboration, industry-academia integration, and talent exchange. This follows the launch of the China-Hungary Torch Innovation Center last year, marking a new chapter in tech and industry.

  • For the first time, China's 2025 Government Work Report integrated embodied AI and intelligent robots. On March 4, WND held a meeting to boost the development of AI and embodied intelligent robotics, aiming to seize this new industrial opportunity and enhance new quality productive forces.

  • On March 7, WND celebrated the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day with the launch of a women-friendly ecosystem. The district continues to integrate women-friendly principles into its development for a more inclusive future.

  • The master plan for WND (2021-2035) has been approved! WND is on track to become a national high-tech industrial hub, a key part of the South Jiangsu Independent Innovation Zone, and a vibrant sub-center for Wuxi's airport hub.

  • Great News! Song Art Museum, Zhaosi Hall, and Wuxi Orient Gallery in WND have been selected as Jiangsu's "New Public Cultural Spaces" for 2025! WND now has 10 such spaces, fostering a richer cultural experience.

  • Three incubators from WND have been included on Jiangsu's first list of benchmark incubators released by the province's Department of Science and Technology. These include the Wuxi International Life-Science Innovation Campus, the Wuxi LongShine Digital Energy Incubator, and the National Science and Technology Park of Jiangnan University. They account for half of Wuxi's total selections and rank second among Jiangsu's high-tech zones.

  • The long-awaited Tianyi High School Xinwu Campus will start enrollment this September, with a one-year transition at Xinwu District Jinhong Experimental School. The new campus, designed to have 24 classes per grade, totaling 72 classes, is currently under construction and set to open in August 2026.

  • The Bodu River Sports Center will conduct a trial operation opening for free from March 7 to 9 (Advance reservation is required). Hall A on the west side features a swimming pool, badminton court, climbing wall, squash court, and billiards room, while Hall B on the east side has a table tennis room, basketball court, and fitness center.
