  • Lam Tai-fai, council chairman of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, recently led a delegation to WND for in-depth exchanges. Since 2023, PolyU – Wuxi Technology and Innovation Research Institute in WND has been driving talent development, research, and tech commercialization.

  • From Feb 20 to 21, WND government leaders visited Shenzhen and Foshan, meeting with key enterprises and urban commercial projects. During the visit, agreements were signed in IC, AI, metaverse, and biomedicine, strengthening ties with the Greater Bay Area and bringing fresh momentum to high-quality development.

  • WND government leaders visited Shanghai's top research institutes, investment funds, and securities firms on Feb 24. During a venture capital matchmaking conference that day, WND signed strategic cooperation agreements with four investment institutions and Shanghai Electric Control Research Institute, which is owned by China South Industries Group Corporation, further integrating high-quality projects and investment resources to accelerate the district's new quality productive forces.

  • WND saw a double milestone for Southeast University alumni! The final pitch and award ceremony of the 5th "Discover SEU Unicorns" New Generation IT Competition recently took place in the district, while the SEU Alumni Innovation Center was unveiled on the same day. This is driving new waves of innovation and entrepreneurship!

  • Jiangsu held a symposium on promoting high-quality development of private enterprises on Feb 26, with two WND-based companies – Unicomp Technology and LongShine Technology Group – in attendance, representing one-third of Wuxi's participating businesses. WND is committed to supporting the growth of private enterprises while consistently enhancing the quality and efficiency of its private economy.

  • WND has been named a model for health governance in Jiangsu, with Xin'an Jiayuan No 1 Community recognized for its healthy community development. With a three-tier health promotion network, WND continues to enhance healthcare services and support high-quality regional growth.

  • Wuxi Hi-Tec Environmental Material, based in WND, recently partnered with PICC's Wuxi branch to secure patent-intensive product liability insurance for one of its patented products. This insurance protects the patent rights and covers potential liability risks across sales and usage. It's one of the first of its kind to be implemented in China.

  • WND recently held its 2025 education conference, at which the Artificial Intelligence Curriculum Outline was launched. This pioneering initiative for grades 1-9 is the first of its kind in Jiangsu province, and it represents a significant step forward in WND's educational digitalization.

  • To further improve talent housing conditions and support talent retention, WND has rolled out the "Talent Housing Voucher" subsidy policy. This new initiative, developed based on previous policy evaluations and best practices from other regions, will provide strong support for the district's high-quality growth.
