WND recognized for pioneering health governance innovations

Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, or Xinwu district, was recently recognized as a model case for health county/district construction in Jiangsu province for its innovative practices and remarkable achievements in health governance. Additionally, Xin'an Jiayuan No 1 Community was selected as a model case for healthy village/community construction.

Faced with challenges such as an aging population, high incidence of chronic diseases, and diverse health needs, the district has integrated health governance into its overall high-quality development strategy. It has established a comprehensive health promotion network covering six key areas, including the health environment, health services, and health industries, providing solid support for the district's health initiatives.

The district has developed a regional-specific approach to health governance. It introduced immersive health education, creating interactive health education bases for government, enterprises, communities, and schools. The district offers dynamic and engaging health education experiences using AR technology and smart detection.

WND has built innovative clusters in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and smart healthcare, leveraging its biopharmaceutical industry advantages, attracting industry giants such as AstraZeneca and GE Healthcare.

The district pioneered a new model of integrated healthcare and elderly care. It launched cognitive disorder prevention and intervention projects for seniors, screening 6,720 elderly individuals aged 60-75, significantly improving cognitive health and quality of life for high-risk groups.

Since 2016, WND has also led the way in digestive system disease screenings, covering over 170,000 residents and contributing to the early diagnosis and treatment of major diseases.

The district's holistic and innovative approach to health governance continues to set a benchmark in regional health management and quality of life improvement.
