A delegation headed by Zhao Yao, managing director of Omron Healthcare China, paid a visit to Wuxi New District, on Aug 5. WND, also known as Xinwu district, received accolades for its recent industrial achievements.
Zhao highlighted the rapid progress in innovation within the biomedicine sector in WND and conveyed a keen interest in forming a collaborative partnership with the district to establish Omron's healthcare operations.
Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Dalian, Liaoning province, Omron Healthcare China specializes in the development and sale of medical devices such as electronic blood pressure monitors, oxygen concentrators, and blood glucose meters.
Cui Rongguo, Party secretary of Xinwu, emphasized the strategic significance of the biomedicine industry for the district. In 2023, WND's biomedicine industry surpassed 100 billion yuan ($13.95 billion) in output value, securing its position among China's top 20 biomedicine industrial parks.
