Wuxi Unis Jidian Technology, a subsidiary of Tsinghua Unigroup, was unveiled on June 12 in Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, which is also known as Wuxi New District or Xinwu district, with its production lines commencing operations that same day.

Tsinghua Unigroup is China's largest comprehensive integrated circuit enterprise and the third largest mobile chip company globally.
Fan Xin, Party secretary of Tsinghua Unigroup, emphasized the significance of the new Wuxi subsidiary as a critical initiative in the company's chip manufacturing strategy. He highlighted its importance in ensuring the stability and security of the high-reliability chip supply chain. Fan also stated that the group plans to secure a stronger foothold in WND by introducing new technologies and products.
Zhang Jinwei, head of Xinwu district, praised the group's commitment to the region, noting that the company has launched significant projects in IC design, wafer testing, and chip packaging in WND. He provided assurances that the district would provide top-notch services to support the group's development.
Cui Rongguo, Xinwu's Party secretary, noted that in 2023, the IC industry's scale in the district reached 155.4 billion yuan ($21.42 billion), accounting for one ninth of the national total. In recent years, WND has focused on developing a comprehensive IC industrial chain, from design and manufacturing to packaging, testing, raw materials, and equipment. The zone accommodates many major industry players like CR Micro and SK Hynix.
