On June 5, Hua Yanhong, deputy director of the Wuxi National Hi-Tech District Administrative Committee, met with Dave Webster, CEO of CPM Group, and his delegation.
CPM is the world's leading designer and manufacturer of pelleting equipment and has grown into a multinational conglomerate. CPM Machinery (Wuxi) Co Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CPM in Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, or Wuxi New District, was established in 1997.
During the meeting, Hua highlighted the district's suitability to foreign enterprises and expressed hope that CPM Group will increase its investment in high-tech equipment in the area. She encouraged the establishment of an innovation and R&D center to enhance CPM's global competitiveness. Hua also emphasized that Wuxi offers comprehensive facilities and abundant resources.
Webster thanked the district for its continuous support and assistance and affirmed his appreciation for the district's business environment and industrial layout. CPM plans to establish its China supply chain center in Wuxi and host the CPM Group Supply Chain Conference attended by representatives from the Netherlands, the United States, Singapore, and Wuhan. This aims to enhance China's supply chain capabilities and provide robust support for overseas markets.
Webster emphasized CPM's commitment to leveraging China's manufacturing strengths to develop its Wuxi subsidiary into an overseas procurement center.
