WHEE prepares to launch smart manufacturing base

Wuxi Huaguang Environment and Energy Group (WHEE) in Wuxi National Hi-Tech District is finalizing preparations for the June launch of its new smart manufacturing base. This advanced facility, which began construction in January 2023, spans 14.47 hectares and represents a total investment of 2 billion yuan ($276.11 million).

Founded in 1958, WHEE has long been a leader in the energy and environment sectors. By the end of 2023, the company's revenue surpassed 10 billion yuan. The new manufacturing base will produce eco-friendly boilers, waste incinerators, heat recovery steam generators, and biomass furnaces. The initiative aims to enhance digital, green production processes and modernize management systems.

Once operational, the smart manufacturing base is expected to boost annual output value by 2.29 billion yuan, underscoring the company's commitment to sustainable and technologically advanced manufacturing practices.
