The Wuxi Symphony Hall International Design Masters' Summit took place in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province on Dec 10.
Jointly organized by the government of Xinwu district in Wuxi and China Construction Eighth Engineering Division, the event brought together about 100 experts, professors, and designers from renowned architectural design firms as well as Tongji University and Southeast University.
The summit commenced with the enchanting melodies of a violin quartet performed by the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra. Distinguished guests including Alberto Cavallero, design director from Perkins Eastman, a prominent design firm based in the United States, shared diverse design achievements and technological breakthroughs focused on music and concert halls, particularly highlighting the Wuxi Symphony Hall, urban spirit, and construction techniques.
Cavallero, also the chief architect of the Wuxi Symphony Hall, explained the concept of architecture as a catalyst for urban development during the event and shared the design philosophy behind the Wuxi Symphony Hall.
