Xinwu district launches city's first gourmet-themed bus line

On Nov 18, an inauguration ceremony for Wuxi's first-ever "One Stop, One Gourmet Meal" bus route was held in Xinwu district.

This innovative public transit line spans a total length of 28 kilometers and features eight strategically-located stations. The service operates exclusively on Saturdays, Sundays, and official holidays from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, with buses departing every hour.

Connecting local intangible cultural heritage cuisines, renowned dining establishments, and distinctive snacks such as braised pork, pastry, and noodles, the specialized bus line aims to treat both residents and tourists to the delectable flavors of the district.

The introduction of the route aligns with Xinwu district's efforts to enhance the overall travel experience, providing a unique opportunity to savor the culinary delights that the region has to offer.

Looking ahead, Xinwu plans to introduce tailored bus routes like "Bus + Shopping" and "Bus + Attractions." These customized transit options will integrate public transportation with shopping districts and popular tourist destinations, promising to provide a convenient and enjoyable travel experience for all.
