WND home to three top private energy enterprises in China

The Hurun Research Institute recently unveiled its first "2023 China's Top 100 Private Energy Enterprises" list, highlighting the most valuable companies in both traditional and new energy industries in China. Wuxi New District saw three of its listed companies securing spots on the ranking.

The research conducted by the Hurun Research Institute included enterprises whose energy-related operations accounting for over 50 percent of their business. Candidates were ranked based on market value or estimated valuation.

One of the three companies is Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co Ltd, founded in 2002. With over 6,000 research and development personnel and over 2,000 effective patents, it has become the world's largest manufacturer of intelligent equipment for lithium-ion batteries.

Wuxi Autowell Technology Co Ltd, founded in 2010, another of the listed enterprises, specializes in photovoltaics, lithium-ion batteries, and semiconductors. The company's key products are used in photovoltaic module and silicon wafer production, battery cell cutting, lithium-ion battery packaging, and semiconductor testing and packaging. By June 2023, the company had accumulated an impressive 1,181 authorized patents, including 78 invention patents.

Jiangsu Leadmicro Nano-Technology Co Ltd focuses on the research, development, production, and application of advanced micrometer and nanometer-level thin-film deposition equipment. The company's business spans across various semiconductor-related fields, including integrated circuits, photovoltaics, LEDs, and MEMS, as well as the new energy and flexible electronics sectors. As of the end of 2022, the company had been granted a total of 97 authorized patents, including 14 invention patents.

During the first half of this year, the scale of Wuxi New District's new energy industry reached 50 billion yuan ($6.87 billion), marking an impressive year-on-year increase of 11.3 percent.
