Wuxi National Hi-Tech District explores biz opportunities in Saudi Arabia

A delegation from Wuxi National High-Tech District, which included representatives from eight companies spanning the internet of things, integrated circuits, biopharmaceuticals, and new energy sectors, recently organized a mission to Saudi Arabia aimed at fostering business connections and expanding operations.

From Aug 12 to 13, the delegation visited key companies, institutions, and universities including Ajlan & Bros Holding Group, Saudi Arabian Ministry of Investment (MISA), and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.

Ajlan & Bros Holding Group has invested more in China than any other Saudi Arabian private enterprise and is committed to empowering Chinese businesses seeking to invest in Saudi Arabia.

Ali Al-Hazmi, the chief executive officer, emphasized the increasing clarity in cooperation between the company and the Wuxi high-tech district over the past two months through a series of workshops and meetings. Their collaboration will focus on introducing the concepts of energy digitalization and internet of energy in the Middle East, enabling the district's products and services to contribute to Saudi Arabia's smart city initiatives.

The Wuxi delegation also engaged in in-depth discussions with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, a renowned international research-oriented university specializing in STEM fields, on matters related to technological innovation and industrial cooperation. Both parties foresee promising collaboration prospects involving integrated circuits, biopharmaceuticals, low-carbon environmental protection, and more.
