New college to boost development of IC industry in WND

Wuxi Vocational College of Science and Technology in Xinwu district, Wuxi, Jiangsu province was certified to build an academy focused on bolstering the development of the integrated circuit industry by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently.

The school was established by the college in partnership with enterprises and organizations like the Wuxi Semiconductor Industry Association, the Wuxi Integrated Circuit Institute, and Wuxi China Resources Microelectronics.

The academy aims to become a key source for talents needed by IC companies in the WND. It plans to train 3,000 skilled technicians, including hardware engineers and embedded software engineers, and conduct 50 training sessions at companies by 2025.

The academy also plans to build 10 research and development centers and 10 training centers, as well as help companies obtain 200 new patents through cooperation with other parties by 2025.
