WND, HK achieve strong cooperation results

Representatives from Wuxi National Hi-tech District visited Hong Kong as the second stop on its Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area trip on Feb 20-22 to promote the integration of economic, cultural, and technological cooperation.

China Resources Group agreed to carry out its third-generation semiconductor production project in WND, focusing on power management, solar inverters, new energy vehicles, and high-end motor drives.

RK Properties Holdings Ltd, an investor of Meili Ancient Town Phase II, will spend about 20 billion yuan ($2.88 billion) developing the Meili Cultural Tourism Future City project, which aims to create a new landmark in Xinwu.

Johnson Electric will build its China production headquarters and R&D center for automobile actuators in WND.

WND also signed agreements for five projects at the 2023 Wuxi-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Industry Integration Development Exchange Conference on Feb 21. With investment totaling 7.5 billion yuan, the projects involve major cutting-edge industries such as intelligent manufacturing, biomedicine, and new energy, as well as finance and technological innovation.

The Hong Kong Xinwu Fellow Association was established on Feb 22.

Members of the association, who hail from Xinwu district, expressed admiration for the rapid development of their hometown as shown in promotional videos. They also showed confidence in the future prospects of Xinwu, pledging to support its development and contribute to the prosperity of Xinwu's economy and society.

WND also cooperated with five universities in Hong Kong, namely the University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and City University of Hong Kong, to hold recruitment events that received over 160 resumes from outstanding talent.
