The first phase of Wuyue Cultural Digital Science and Technology Innovation Valley started construction in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District on July 21.
The project will feature Wuyue Culture, a regional heritage of the Taihu Lake area, and is listed as one of the city's 27 major provincial undertakings.
The project takes "Taibo Travelling to Wu" and "Wuyue During the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC)" as the core IP, relies on Wuxi's film, television, animation, gaming and other industrial resources, and is intended to boost the integrated development of industrial fields and practice scenarios based on "IP content creativity and digital entertainment technology" through the in-depth interpretation of history and culture and enhancement of interactive experiences.
The project is located in Hongshan Tourist Resort, with a total planning area of about 2 square kilometers and more than 40 hectares of construction land for the digital entertainment sector. The first phase will be put into trial operation in May 2024, and the overall project is expected to be put into trial operation in the first half of 2027.
