An iris garden built inside the Lianghong National Wetland Park recently completed construction.

The Iris Garden is an important part of the wetland ecological protection and restoration project of Lianghong National Wetland Park. It restored over 8,900 square meters of wetlands by rebuilding the water system and topography, aiming to provide suitable habitats for different kinds of birds.

The garden is expected to become an outdoor science education center where visitors can watch birds, admire water and flowers, and learn about wetlands.

Over 10 kinds of iris flowers have been developed in the garden. They are expected to bloom from late April to early May every year. And each plant will reach about 40 to 50 centimeters in height. Their blossoms are usually large and beautiful, and come in blue, purple, white, yellow, and red varieties.
