The Wuxi National Hi-tech District (Greater Bay Area) Innovation Center officially started operating in Shenzhen, Guangdong province on May 28.
The center established an operating company in February 2022, adopting a multi-format mixed operation model consisting of an independent office, collaborative office and roadshows. It has carried out matchmaking with more than 300 leading enterprises and over 30 well-known investment institutions and funds in the Greater Bay Area through online events.
As leading cities developing advanced manufacturing, Wuxi and Shenzhen have made frequent exchanges over the years. The newly-opened innovation center is expected to serve as a new platform to deepen economic exchanges and cooperation between the two cities.
Cui Rongguo, Party secretary of WND, said he expected the center could display the development and business environment of WND, introduce high-quality innovative resources and scientific and technological projects from the Greater Bay Area, and support the high-quality industrial development of Wuxi.
During the opening ceremony, five science and technological enterprises and six industrial institutions based in Shenzhen confirmed they will operate in the center.
