Wuxi National Hi-tech District announced a global talent recruitment drive on Feb 25, selecting 150 candidates for 108 jobs with annual salaries of up to 1 million yuan ($158, 448).

The event involves 120 State-owned enterprise staff and 30 government employees, and 52 of the 108 positions are for fresh graduates, and the rest are for high-end management talent with work experience and professional and technical personnel.

Applicants should be skilled in professional technology, management, investment promotion, foreign languages and more, and the jobs involve industrial investment promotion, business management, technological innovation and financial investment, financial management, and human resource management.

Experts in investment promotion are most in demand - about 25 percent of all required candidates. Those majoring in urban and rural planning, architecture, and landscape architecture are needed to improve the district's living environment.

The jobs require people with graduate degrees from top universities. They will receive salaries ranging from 150,000 yuan to 1 million yuan a year. The annual salaries for positions requiring a doctoral degree all exceed 500,000 yuan.

Undergraduates from universities ranking in the top 100 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, Renmin University of China, Harbin Institute of Technology, Tongji University, Nanjing University, and Wuhan University are also allowed to apply for the jobs.
