Meili Ancient Town celebrates first anniversary

Meili Ancient Town held the first anniversary celebration of its opening from Nov 19 to 21.

Various on-site activities were organized, including female dancers dressed in hanfu performing traditional Jiangnan dances, a 3D water projection show and a Wuxi Opera performance.

Many expats were also drawn to the celebration for an on-site experience of the natural landscape and cultural heritage of Meili Ancient town's ancient Wu culture.

The streets of Meili Ancient Town in Wuxi officially opened to the public with a brand-new look one year ago. The area now offers a multitude of entertainment options, including creative cultural products, food and drink, entertainment, shopping, children's amusement and cultural experiences.

As the birthplace of the Wu culture, the town has a history that can be traced back 3,200 years.
