WND semiconductor producer nominated for China Quality Award

Infineon Technologies (Wuxi) Co, a semiconductor producer based in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District, was included in the candidate list for the 4th China Quality Award recently released by the Quality Development Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation.

The China Quality Award was officially started in 2012 and is now considered the highest honor in quality recognition. The final award recognizes less than 10 firms, and less than 90 names made the nomination list.

Established in October 1995, Infineon Technologies (Wuxi) Co is an overseas subsidiary of Infineon Technologies AG, a German company which specializes in semiconductors and system solutions for automotive and industrial electronics.

Located in the Wuxi-Singapore Industrial Park, the company mainly produces discrete semiconductor devices and smart card chips, as well as packages and tests power semiconductors. Their products are widely used in the energy, security, consumption, industrial and automotive fields.

The company is now the largest manufacturing base of Infineon Technologies AG in China. It is also one of the largest insulated gate bipolar transistor production bases in the world.

In 2019, the company became the first foreign-funded enterprise to win the Wuxi Mayor Quality Award. It also stood out during the selection of 2021 Jiangsu Provincial Quality Award.
