WND leads industrial development in first 4 months

Wuxi National Hi-tech District continues to lead the city in developing its key industries, including integrated circuits, digital new infrastructure, new energy, and smart equipment.

In the first four months of 2021, the industrial added value above designated size of WND topped the city at 45.9 billion yuan ($7.18 billion), accounting for 31.7 percent of the city's total.

From January to April this year, the output value of the IC industry in WND increased by 30 percent year-on-year to reach 38 billion yuan. The output value of the software and information technology service industry in WND reached 31.87 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 34.23 percent.

In addition, the top 100 enterprises in WND had a total output of 122.84 billion yuan in the first four months, a year-on-year increase of 25.3 percent.

Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co expanded it production this year following the market trend. In the first three months of this year, its revenue increased by 39.32 percent year-on-year to reach 1.21 billion yuan.

The company will promote the development of complete sets of lithium battery equipment, with an eye on photovoltaic equipment and hydrogen energy equipment, aiming to enhance its international competitiveness, according to executives.

From January to April, WND attracted industrial investment worth 13.64 billion yuan. A total of 159 provincial and municipal key projects are on track.
