An online ceremony between the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center under the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Swiss National Innovation Park was held on June 4 in an effort to strengthen scientific and technological innovation cooperation between China and Switzerland.
The Wuxi National Hi-tech District was one of four Chinese high-tech districts to take part in the ceremony.
Jia Jingdun, director of the Torch Center, explained specific measures for future cooperation. The two sides plan to establish normalized working mechanisms, promote cooperation between science and technology parks, strengthen cooperation in key industries and technical fields, and form an international entrepreneurial mentor team.
Officials from the Swiss National Innovation Park said they expected more exchanges between researchers at universities, science parks, technology transfer institutions, and incubators in China and Switzerland in order to promote cross-border cooperation on innovation projects and technology transfers.
WND will focus on the construction of a modern industrial system and actively participate in various Sino-Swiss innovation and entrepreneurship cooperation plans, especially in the life science, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, new energy, and new materials industries, according to officials.
