Wangzhuang hosts ceremony for key projects

Wangzhuang sub-district in Xinwu district of Wuxi hosted a ceremony on May 25 marking the signing of one industrial project, the starting of nine projects, and the completion of nine projects.

The 19 key industrial projects, which have a total investment of 10.83 billion yuan ($1.7 billion), are expected to generate 21.52 billion yuan annually in total sales after being put into operation. Among them, three of the projects have attracted a single investment of over 1 billion yuan, while four have attracted a single investment of over 5 billion yuan.

The projects cover the integrated circuits, biomedical health, smart manufacturing and equipment, as well as modern service industries.

Wuxi Jofo Group will invest 1.55 billion yuan to build new plants. Covering a total of 4.67 hectares, the new plants will be built in two phases to produce medical protection materials and personal care products.

Cui Rongguo, director of Xinwu district, attended the ceremony and said that the management department of Wangzhuang sub-district should offer high-quality and efficient government services to support the development of these projects.

Cui added that the projects are expected to drive the high-quality economic development of the district and help build Xinwu district into a leading industrial cluster in Wuxi.
