Digital TOPCon photovoltaic cell factory to be built in WND

Three leading enterprises in the photovoltaic industry signed a cooperation agreement in Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND) on April 21.

According to the deal, the three enterprises, Wuxi Suntech Power Co Ltd, Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co Ltd, and Jiangsu Leadmicro Nano Technology Co Ltd, will build the first digital TOPCon high-efficiency photovoltaic cell whole-line smart factory in WND.

The factory will be equipped with many advanced technologies, involving smart sensors, visual data enhancement, and big data analysis, which will effectively improve the controllability of the production process, as well as reduce the need for manual labor, thereby greatly increasing efficiency.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Wuxi Suntech Power Co Ltd. The company has been carrying out many new projects in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative in recent years, including Egypt, Brazil, Argentina, as well as Nigeria.

The company has cooperated with Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co Ltd on the first photovoltaic automated production line equipment in China.
