South Korea-based LG Chem signed a deal to build its China Tech Center in Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND) on April 16.
With a total investment of $30 million, the new center will cover about 86.7 ares to work on the technical development and customer support of LG Chem's products in all fields. The project is expected to start construction in July 2021 and be completed in October 2022.
Huang Qin, Party secretary of Wuxi, attended the signing ceremony and thanked LG Chem for its long-term support on the economic development of Wuxi.
Huang urged related government departments to provide high-quality services to the project and ensure its smooth development. He also said that he expected the city and the company would work together to build WND into a new-energy auto hub.
