The Wu Culture Development Conference was held on April 8 in Meili Ancient Town in Wuxi National Hi-tech district (WND), East China's Jiangsu province. The conference is aimed at promoting local high-quality development as well as Wu culture.
As the capital of the Wu Kingdom in the Zhou Dynasty (c.11th century-256 BC), Meili has a history of more than 3,200 years and was established by Taibo, the architect of Wu culture.
A series of events, including a cultural forum, a memorial ceremony, and an economic development forum, will be hosted to boost information exchange and industrial interactions as well as deepen cooperation among the domestic cultural tourism and economic industries.
