The National IoT Sensors Industry Measurement and Testing Center passed the State Administration for Market Regulation inspection Sept 11.

The center, built in 2017, is located in China Mems-nano Sensor Network International Innovation Park, Wuxi National Hi-tech District. It is the first internet of things (IoT) industry measurement and testing center in China.

As China’s first professional measurement and testing institution for IoT sensing products, the center is equipped with first-class hardware and software facilities for testing heat, humidity, force and magnetic sensitivity, chemistry, electricity, acoustics, length, and biology. It leads in the measurement and testing of key IoT components such as inertial sensors, dynamic pressure characteristics, and sensors for wind speed and vibration.

Measurement and testing is an important technical basis for industrial development. In the construction of the standard system of IoT core components, the role of measurement is to form a complete set of measurement and evaluation standard systems.

The comprehensive measurement of IoT perception equipment, including radio frequency identification, sensors, smart chips, barcode recognition and other multimedia information collection equipment, will promote the development of the IoT industry, officials said.
