New center on digital economy opens in WND

Huaqin Technology's Wuxi R&D center officially opened in Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND) on Aug 29.

The center, which has a total investment of 700 million yuan ($102.15 million), covers an area of 56 mu (3.73 hectares) and a building area of 77,000 square meters.

As the group's largest software, testing and training center, it will focus on the software, algorithms and testing of intelligent products, as well as undertake software design and R&D work, bringing together an R&D team of more than 5,000 workers.

Based in Shanghai, Huaqin Technology is the world's leading multi-category intelligent communication terminal original design manufacturer (ODM) company, focusing on smartphones, tablet PCs and notebook PCs. The company's total revenue reached 36 billion yuan in 2019.

In recent years, WND has been working to promote the construction of new digital infrastructure and cultivate new advantages in the development of digital economy, aiming to become a new center of digital economy in Wuxi and the Yangtze River Delta region as a whole.
