146 projects worth 103.5 billion yuan signed in WND from January to July

A total of 146 projects with the investment of 103.5 billion yuan ($14.85 billion) were signed in Wuxi National High-tech District (WND) from January to July this year, according to a news conference held in the district on Aug 10.

Among the signed projects, two are being carried out by top 500 companies and 23 by headquarter enterprises, while nine are foreign-funded projects with registered capital of over $30 million. Thus, the total amount of foreign investment is expected to total $736 million, ranking first in Wuxi.

During the meeting, WND's three-year action plan highlighting the importance of attracting investment and talent to the area was also introduced in detail.

Projects and talent are the foundation of WND's development. In the face of the epidemic in 2020, WND has been prioritizing the attraction of investment and talent. A series of online signing activities coupled with on-site meetings have pushed forward several significant projects, including Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co's industrial park and the 5G intelligent manufacturing industrial base of Jabil Green Point Technology.

In the future, WND will closely adhere to its three-year plan and focus on biomedicine, integrated circuits and other leading industries. It will also strive to serve enterprises so as to build a harmonious environment for attracting investment and talent to WND.
