Beijing-based SiRun Technology Co agreed to build its headquarters for the internet of vehicles (IoV) industry in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND) on June 4.
The IoV headquarters is expected to introduce over 600 skilled R&D and operation workers to contribute to Wuxi's city-level demonstration program for the IoV LTE-V2X (vehicle-to-everything) application.
As China's first pilot area for the development of IoV, Wuxi is working on an autonomous driving project integrating front-to-back equipment, safety, reliability, autonomous and controllable characteristics, smart transportation, value-added services for vehicle owners, passengers, and urban infrastructure.
WND Party Secretary Jiang Min attended the signing ceremony and was optimistic about the development of the project. She said it will play an important role in attracting high-level IoV enterprises to Wuxi and promote the commercialization and application of IoV technology.
SiRun Technology Co, established in 2013, is currently the largest professional IoV service provider in China. Its intelligent networked cloud control and big data platform (TSP) and IoV communication terminal (T-BOX) have been provided to over 50 famous car manufacturers including SAIC, Volvo and Nissan.
