The Wuxi Xinwu Experimental Primary School will begin operating in September, according to a launch ceremony held on June 1.

The new school is aligned with the primary school attached to Jiangsu Wuxi Normal School, a reputed primary school in Wuxi. The two schools will share teachers and educational resources to help improve the quality of basic education in Xinwu district.

That same day, the Wuxi Foreign Language School and the Jiangxi Sub-district Office of Wuxi Xinwu District signed an agreement to build a new kindergarten.

The planned Chun Cheng Kindergarten will be a public school partly run by the management team of the Wuxi Foreign Language School.

Wuxi’s Xinwu district has been making efforts to improve the quality of education there in order to raise living standards. In 2019, the district carried out 16 projects related to the construction of more primary and secondary schools.

According to officials, a total of 55 kindergartens, 18 public primary schools, seven public secondary schools, three private primary and secondary schools, one special education school, and four schools for expats are currently operating in Xinwu district.

In addition, Xinwu district is promoting the use of more online resources at 20 of its schools in an effort to improve teaching quality.
