WND companies lead way on quality management

Three enterprises in Wuxi National Hi-tech District swept the honors at the recent 2019 Wuxi Mayor Quality Award.

The companies are Infineon Technologies AG, Wuxi Huaguang Boiler Co and Wuxi Weifu Group.

Established in 2006, the Wuxi Mayor Quality Award is the highest honor given by the Wuxi Municipal People's Government to leading enterprises and organizations with advanced quality management methods.

Due to its high standards, only 19 enterprises had won the award up to 2018. The 2019 awards was the first time three enterprises from the same district had won the honor.

Bao Xudong, deputy director of the Xinwu District Administration for Market Regulation, said that the district has been working to promote quality management in all enterprises for many years. In 2018, the district established the District Head Quality Award as an incentive to develop leading enterprises in the area.

Through the application process for quality awards, enterprises in Xinwu have learned advanced management concepts, improved management processes, and built unique and leading management methods.

Chen Xiaolong, general manager of Infineon Technologies AG, said the company has asked all the managers to exchange ideas with frontline workers on the goal of achieving quality and encourages frontline workers to continuously improve their daily work through self-learning and project challenges.
