Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND), home to a number of foreign-funded enterprises and international schools, has been making efforts to assist expats living in Wuxi.

It has set up a service window for foreigners to help them solve a number of problems and provide them with in-person services.

With the help of the Wuxi Japanese Chamber of Commerce and the Wuxi Korean Chamber of Commerce, the local government's foreign affairs department is working to share information about epidemic prevention and control efforts with expats in Wuxi and to discuss the resumption of operations with various international enterprises.

Zhu Weifang, a member of the Wuxi Japanese Chamber of Commerce, even turned her own mobile phone into a consultation hotline to help Japanese people returning to Wuxi register their information and to inform them of the latest policies and announcements released by the local and central government.

Moreover, a total of 16 volunteers who can speak foreign languages have been trained to visit expats under medical observation in a number of communities and designated hotels, helping them deal with daily issues.
