WND to build intelligent information industrial park

The groundbreaking ceremony of the Wuxi Xingzhou Intelligent Information Technology Innovation Park was held in Wuxi National Hi-tech District on Feb 22.

The park, located northeast of the Wuxi Xingzhou Industrial Park, or Wuxi-Singapore Industrial Park, will cover an area of 60,000 square meters and receive 5 billion yuan ($712.4 million) in investment. It is expected to become a high-tech industrial park focusing on high-end intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, 5G communications, and medical internet of things.

Construction is expected to finish by next year, while the first branch is expected to begin operating this year. It is expected to generate 16 billion yuan in annual sales. Several enterprises will agree to begin operating in the park in March, according to officials.

The local government has been making significant efforts to help enterprises resume operations while also preventing and controlling the spread of the ongoing epidemic. All 5,302 industrial enterprises in Wuxi National Hi-tech District had resumed production by Feb 19.
