All industrial enterprises resume production in WND

All 5,302 industrial enterprises in Wuxi National Hi-tech District had resumed production by Feb 19, as the daily number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus continues to decline.

The local government has made great efforts to help enterprises restart operations while maintaining epidemic prevention and control. A series measures have been rolled out to help enterprises resume production in an orderly way. An online platform has been built to help record and control the number of returned workers and monitor the situation of all enterprises, greatly improving the efficiency of government services.

Leading enterprises such as Huahong, SK Hynix and AstraZeneca have helped their supporting enterprises to resume production thanks to the protective materials and logistics support provided by the government.

Ding Junwei, COO of Infineon Technologies, said the company’s production capacity is expected to return to over 90 percent of regular capacity by next week.

The government said it will continue to ensure stable economic growth and focus on the resumption of productive service industries. All enterprises in financial services, logistics and warehousing, scientific and technological research and development, and energy conservation and environmental protection are supposed to resume production by the end of this month, according to officials.
