Airport

Wuxi Development Zone is the only Development Zone in China with an international airport. Wuxi Sunan International Airport now has more than 40 direct lines to Hong Kong, Macao, Taipei, Tokyo, Osaka, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and cities nationwide. In the future, Wuxi airport will gradually build a regional international airport and cargo airport.

Highway

The highway transportation network extends in all directions.The G2 Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway, and 312 Shanghai - Xinjiang National Highway all pass through the zone. The highway traffic network not only provides transportation options for Wuxi New District, but also meets the logistics needs of enterprises in the development zone.

Railway

Wuxi is one of the main stations of the Beijing-Shanghai railway. With the arrival of high-speed rail, the transport time from Wuxi to Shanghai has been shortened to 30 minutes, and it only takes 4.5 hours to travel to Beijing. Thanks to Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity High Speed Rail, the development of the Yangtze River Delta has reached a new stage. The line has three stations in Wuxi , one of which is in Wuxi New District.

Port

Wuxi New District is 210 kilometers away from Shanghai Yangshan Port, one of the top 10 ports in the world; 150 kilometers away from Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port, and 50 kilometers away from Zhangjiagang Port. All are connected to Wuxi New District by expressways. Jiangyin Port in Wuxi is 40 kilometers from the District, and can be accessed through the G2 expressway.

Subway/Light rail

Wuxi plans to construct eight subways / light rails, four running through the New District. Lines One and Two have opened for operation, and construction of Line Three has been approved and it will shorten travel time to the downtown to only 10 minutes. Upon completion, the Station highstreet will gather people and businesses to form a sub-center.
