Jointly organized by the Jiangsu Provincial High & New Technology Innovation Centre, the Wuxi Science and Technology Bureau, and Wuxi National Hi-tech District, the 5th Sunan Global Maker Contest Annual Roadshow 2019 kicked off in Wuxi National Hi-tech District on Dec 12, focusing on mass entrepreneurship and innovation.
The final roadshow was staged with the top six competitors of 60 hopefuls vying to compete for the title. An awarding ceremony was also held after to honor the winners. In addition, nine projects won the prize for best investment value, 12 projects won the prize for investment potential, as well as 18 projects were awarded the annual innovation prize.

Among those shortlisted for the final, the projects mainly focused on the fields of the internet of things and smart manufacturing, with 22 projects accounting for 37 percent of the total. Other projects involved in industries spanning artificial intelligence, big data, biological medicine, new retail, and new energy were also included.

There were also several themed talks given by successful entrepreneurs held during the event, attracting nearly 400 guests. In the end, six projects, including those by Dexter and Hypersics Semiconductor Co Ltd, signed intention agreements with investors on site during the signing ceremony.
