Two semiconductor companies to deepen cooperation in WND

SK Hynix Semiconductor (China) Co Ltd and Hitech Semiconductor (Wuxi) Co Ltd signed an agreement in the Wuxi National Hi-Tech District on Nov 27 to deepen cooperation in the future.

The two sides soon plan to carry out the third phase of a semiconductor back-end project, which will involve packing and testing.

WND Party Secretary Wang Jinjian attended the signing ceremony and said that SK Hynix has become well-known in Jiangsu province for its large scale, advanced technology, and rapid development since first investing in WND in 2004.

WND plans to continue supporting the development of SK Hynix, which includes construction of its factories, school, hospital, fund, and technology park, Wang said. He also hoped for more cooperation between the two sides in the future.

Hitech Semiconductor (Wuxi) Co Ltd was established in WND in 2009 and has since become one of China's top 10 semiconductor packaging and testing enterprises. Due to its advanced production line technology, Hitech's annual production accounts for about 13 percent of global DRAM packaging and testing capacity.
