WND hosts matchmaking meeting for semiconductor industry

The Wuxi National Hi-Tech District hosted the Jiangsu Semiconductor Industry Matchmaking Meeting in Nanjing on Nov 4.

The meeting is one of three professional industrial forums of the 7th China Jiangsu Industry-University-Research Cooperation Conference, at which 2,500 of the latest technologies and products in Nanjing are being displayed from Nov 4 to 5.

Over 200 governors, expats, scholars and businessmen attended the meeting to discuss the Chinese semiconductor industry.

Duan Xiong, vice director of the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Department, noted that Jiangsu province regards the development of the semiconductor industry as an important way to build an independent and controllable industrial system and promote industrial transformation and upgrading.

Duan expected the Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND) to continue attracting talent and lead the development of the semiconductor industry in Jiangsu.

WND Director Feng Xiaochun said the district will work to develop the semiconductor industry into a more important industry in order to transform the WND into a beacon of new industry.

During the exhibition, Jiangsu governors visited a booth showcasing the latest technological products from the WND, including a gasoline pressure sensor from Smart Drive Sensing (Wuxi) Co and a portable particulate laser radar from Wuxi CAS Photonics.
