A total of 10 projects worth 5.53 billion yuan ($783.43 million) were signed in the Meicun sub-district of Wuxi's Xinwu district on Oct 28.
The 10 newly-signed projects are notable as they include the industrial bases of two state-owned companies, two headquarters of overseas companies, and several high-end projects.
After all 10 projects begin operating, Xinwu district is expected to see the value of its annual industrial output increase by 15.85 billion yuan.
Meicun sub-district, known as the home of the erhu, had a total industrial output value of 38 billion yuan in 2018. It is currently home to 10 listed companies.
During the signing ceremony, representatives from China Electronics Corporation, Kuntin Group, and Jiangsu Favored Tech delivered speeches on their newly-signed projects.
Government officials of Meicun sub-district said they would offer their full support and serve the projects as best they can.
