Manufacturer marks 20th anniversary in WND

Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co marked its 20th anniversary and the opening of its high-end equipment production base with a special ceremony in Wuxi National Hi-tech District on Oct 18.

With a total investment of 900 million yuan ($127.4 million), the newly-built production base covers an area of 66,000 square meters and both of its phases are now operational.

WND officials, including Party Secretary Wang Jinjian and Director Feng Xiaochun, attended the ceremony.

Wang expressed his congratulations and gratitude to the company for its work to develop the new energy industry in WND. He revealed that he hoped the district could become a center for developing new industries and opening up.

He appeared bullish about the new production base, which is expected to improve the district's strength in a number of key industries.

Established in 1999, Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co has become the largest manufacturer of lithium battery intelligent equipment in the world.
