Wuxi National Hi-tech District hosted some 125 job fairs in the first eight months of the year, the local government reported.

A total of 4,837 companies provided 21,588 jobs during the job fairs, which attracted over 12,000 people to take part in them and look for job information.

As opposed to normal job fairs -- which provide less time for participating companies and job seekers to communicate -- officials said WND does it differently.

They said it applies on-site intelligent equipment for online appointments, job enquiries, deliveries and other online services.

In order to improve the pertinence and efficiency for job seekers and recruiters, a mobile-based "precision appointment recruitment platform" was also applied.

With this platform, companies and job seekers can learn information on both sides in advance.

During the job fair held at the World Internet of Things Expo in September, 80 IoT and related industry enterprises participating in the expo provided 1,283 high-end jobs -- of which 32 percent were WND-based firms.

Most of the job hunters were PhD graduates and master's degree graduates.
