Steamed Buns

Famous for its thin skin and affluent stuffing, the Wuxi steamed buns is a kind of traditional snacks with hundreds of years of history. It enjoys great reputation and is highly regarded in Shanghai, Ningbo and Hangzhou. Made of patent flour and elaborate ingredients, the buns are steamed in a small steamer with a flavor of the south of the Yangtze River.

The Wuxi steamed buns have two kinds of flavors---buns stuffed with fresh meat and the ones with crab meat. Steamed buns stuffed with fresh meat have thin skin, abundant spicy stuffing and fresh tender taste. The steamed buns stuffed with crab meat, on the other hand, is made of a mixture of crab roe and meat, which makes it a special snack for impromptu gourmet and also a wonderful treat for families and friends.
