The National AI Application Pilot Base (Medical Sector) · Beijing Exhibition Hall recently opened at the BioPark in Beijing E-Town, welcoming its first visitors.
As China's first AI pilot base in the medical field, this exhibition hall serves as a national platform showcasing medical AI achievements.
This pilot base focuses on two main areas: precision diagnosis and treatment, as well as biopharmaceutical manufacturing. It aims to address common industry challenges by systematically building comprehensive support capabilities, including coordinated computing power supply, model evolution, data integration, efficient application development, and intelligent operations. It acts as an industrial co-creation platform for validating needs, product development, and promoting applications in precision diagnostics and biopharmaceutical manufacturing. By collaborating with hospitals and enterprises, it aims to verify multiple scenarios and applications, creating a new AI-driven production relationship in the healthcare industry. This initiative aspires to extend its influence across China and globally, impacting all aspects of healthcare applications.
The exhibition hall features three core areas: "foundational support, scenario applications, and industry empowerment."
In the foundational support area, key infrastructures such as high-quality medical data supply, public computing and data training platforms, a large-scale medical model service platform, an AI drug development public service platform, and a supply-demand matching platform are highlighted, providing efficient, secure, and compliant one-stop support for medical AI research and development.
The AI + Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing area showcases AI innovations in target discovery, biomolecular predictions, molecular design, drug screening, safety evaluation, recruitment, and feasibility analysis, significantly shortening R&D cycles and reducing costs.
The AI + Precision Diagnosis and Treatment area uses scenario-based demonstrations to showcase AI's achievements in early disease screening, image-assisted diagnosis, specialized disease treatment support, chronic disease intelligent management, and remote medical collaboration. These advancements enhance diagnostic accuracy and follow-up efficiency, especially in primary healthcare institutions.
The exhibition hall hosted a World Health Organization delegation on Monday, focusing on AI's role in enhancing life and health. They explored the pilot base's construction and operational achievements and discussed technology principles, data security, and promotion pathways.
Beijing E-Town will continue to accelerate the base’s construction, gathering innovative resources, and enhance services, to transform and implement more AI-driven medical achievements, supporting Beijing's ambition of becoming a global leader in medical health AI innovation and development.
